Checking in and out is an important part of your rental. It protects both the lessee and the lessor. The only drawback is that you usually have to be on site, or ask someone you trust to be. Not always easy. That’s why we’re adding this module to our welcome booklet for mid-May 2021!

1. How does the module work?

It’s that simple! Every module in our welcome booklet is designed to make your life easier.

All you have to do is take photos of all the rooms you want before your guests arrive. You will have a maximum of 5 photos per category (room).

When it comes to choosing which photos to take, it’s up to you! But we do recommend that you photograph any fragile objects and/or items that are particularly important to you. This will be the first step, taking the photos.

Then, when your host leaves, all he or she has to do is complete his or her section with the same photos to prove that he or she is returning the rental in perfect condition . It’s an instant photo, so there’s no cheating: you’ll receive a photo of your rental at the very moment it’s taken. They will have to validate each category one by one andauthenticate themselvesby sms. You will then receive a summary and a comparison with your photos.

What about damage? Let’s say the coffee machine breaks down (it can happen), your host can indicate this in a separate section that you renters will find in your personal space. Easy, isn’t it?

2. Why you need the check in/check out module

First, for safety. To protect you against damage or theft (unfortunately, it happens).

Secondly, for its practicality and autonomy. There’s no need to go out and check live. And for the tenant, there’s no need to stress about not being ready on time for your visit. You’ll also be showing them that you trust them by not checking for yourself.

Well, for health reasons! With the current crisis, it’s important to find digital solutions to avoid contact. What better way to do this than by sending photos?

With the check in/check out module, life for both parties will be smoother and more serene!

What about possible disputes? It’s up to the rental company to include a statement in its terms and conditions indicating that check-in and check-out are carried out using our module. We opt for validation of the check-out by sms, as this is proof that it was indeed the host who carried it out. Styqr cannot be held responsible for any disputes.
