What makes a destination simply enjoyable, or downright extraordinary? The “Destination d’Excellence” label seeks to answer this question by highlighting places that not only enchant visitors, but literally dazzle them. As a prestigious label, it’s not always easy to obtain.

The criteria are rigorous and precise: accessibility, sustainability, quality of services and community involvement. Your home will have to meet all these criteria to earn the label.

Ultimately, this reform brings greater precision, clarity and prestige to the various French labels. The aim is for these labels to become state labels. The process is still underway, and further improvements and clarifications will most certainly be made to this major reform.
