With the current crisis, some equipment that wasn’t popular a few months ago has become indispensable. So how do you equip your rental? Here’s a non-exhaustive list of some of the equipment you’ll need at home to boost your bookings and make your guests‘ stay as pleasant as possible.

1- Equipping your bedroom

A bedroom is cosy, the place where you rest after a hard day’s work or activity. It’s where you put your suitcases when you arrive at your rental. Make sure it has everything you need: sheets, pillows and an extra comforter. Some people (we know some!) can’t sleep without 2 pillows. It’s always a good idea to offer extra pillows. To buy them, take advantage of sales and clearance sales. Leave the comforter and pillows in their original protectors and store them in a visible place.

2- The bathroom

One of the first things you do when you’ve packed your bags is to freshen up, or even take a shower and relax. To make life easier for your guests, don’t hesitate to prepare a toilet bag (toothbrush, shampoo, soap…) and clean towels. The little extra? A hairdryer!

3- The salon

The most important thing? Especially in the current climate, a good wifi connection. Little extras: a TV with access to streaming services, a few books, magazines… If you’re renting in winter: a warm throw and a few extra cushions for a “cocooning” feel.

4- The kitchen

You don’t need to learn anything here: a fridge, microwave and crockery are the minimum if you can manage it. For even more thoughtfulness, you can add: a coffee machine, tea and kettle, a few frying pans for cooking… The attention that makes all the difference? A recipe card with everything you need to cook a dish typical of your region, or a bottle of wine.

Got everything? Perfect! If not, don’t hesitate to invest a little. Put yourself in the guests’ shoes: “If I were going somewhere, what would I like to find? If you have any other equipment to suggest, we’d love to hear from you! To find out how to buy all this for less, click here.
