1. The association

Sites et Paysages, an association under the French law of 1901, was founded in 1982 in the French Alps. Managed by professionals, it has a charter guaranteeing customers quality campsites in the most beautiful regions of France.

To be a member of the Sites et Paysages network, you must meet a number of criteria:

  • A protected natural environment
  • Unique, independent campsites on a human scale
  • Proximity to major historical, tourist or cultural sites
  • At least 3 stars
  • A commitment to eco-citizenship and sustainable development
  • Get involved in their region and be fervent defenders of their heritage
  • Offering a warm “home from home” welcome

To join the association, you must pay an annual membership fee. Nothing is left to chance as the campsite must be visited.

2. Actors for the environment

Deeply committed to respecting the environment, these campsites are committed to :

  • Preserve natural resources, for example by recovering rainwater
  • Promoting and preserving local heritage
  • Be fervent actors in their region and eco-citizens (waste sorting, etc.).
