What modules does a welcome book contain?

Welcome message, Check-in info, Check-out info, Wifi, Access codes (keypads), Practical info (organised into categories), Useful numbers and contacts, Around Me (addresses with a map), Partners, Guest book, Check-in and check-out condition reports, Boutique. Each module can be shown or hidden, and reordered however you like.

I've entered my content but guests can't see it

It is almost always the EYE icon on the category or module that is closed. In the module concerned, each category has an eye icon: open eye = visible to guests, crossed-out eye = hidden. The module itself has the same setting in "My modules". Also check that the welcome book is active.

How do I reorder or hide categories and modules?

Modules are reordered by drag and drop in "My modules", and each module has its eye icon to show or hide it. Inside a module, categories are reordered and hidden in the same way. The order you choose is the one your guests see. A module can also be RENAMED on a given welcome book: the new name is the one guests of that welcome book see, and your other welcome books keep theirs.

How do I add a category that doesn't exist?

In the Practical info, Check-in info and Check-out info modules, you create your own categories ("Swimming pool", "Lighting", "Jetty", and so on) with their icon. They are added to the default categories. Styky, the assistant, can also create one for you.

What exactly is the Wifi module for?

To give the network name and the password, which guests can copy in one tap. It is the most viewed information in any welcome book: make it prominent and say where the router is in case of an outage.

What are the access codes (keypads) for?

To bring together all the codes for the property: gate, key box, front door, bike store. Each code has its own label and explanations. If this information is sensitive, you can restrict access to the welcome book (see the question on access lists).

What is the difference between "Check-in/check-out info" and "Condition report"?

"Check-in info" and "Check-out info" are editorial: what guests need to know (times, keys, parking, cleaning to do before leaving). The "Condition report" is a record: guests photograph and sign off the state of the property when they arrive and when they leave.

How does the Condition report module work?

Guests go through the rooms, add photos and comments, then sign. You find every condition report in your account and can download the PDF report, which is useful in the event of a dispute over a deposit.

How do I add local recommendations around the property?

The "Around Me" module lets you add addresses manually or generate them automatically around the welcome book's address (shops, pharmacy, restaurants, activities). Your own favourites can be highlighted. The welcome book needs a geolocated address for generation to work.

What is the Partners module for?

To highlight the professionals you recommend (restaurants, activities, tradespeople, service providers), separately from the general addresses in "Around Me".

What is the Guest book for?

To collect reviews from your guests directly in the welcome book. You choose which ones are visible, you can pin some, and you can get a badge or a widget to embed on your website.

Can I personalise the look of the welcome book?

Yes: colours, background, typography, icons, cover image and the layout of each module are all set in Personalisation. Ready-made styles are available, and each module can have its own layout.

Can I copy content from one welcome book to another?

Yes. The content clipboard lets you reuse an item of information, a category or a set of content from another welcome book. Styky, the assistant, can also copy specific content to one or more welcome books.

I manage several properties, how should I organise things?

Each property has its own welcome book. Labels let you group them (by town, by owner, by season), duplication saves you re-entering everything, and Styky, the assistant, applies an action to a whole group of welcome books in one go.

How do I duplicate a welcome book?

From your list of welcome books, or by asking Styky, the assistant. Duplication creates a full copy of the content and uses up one subscription slot: if none are free, payment is requested.

How do I recover a welcome book I deleted by mistake?

Contact human support quickly: depending on how long ago it was deleted, restoration is sometimes possible. Changes made by Styky, the assistant, can be undone on their own for 7 days.

Can I restrict access to my welcome book?

Yes, with access lists: the welcome book is only open to authorised guests. You can also track usage in the access logs. This is the right setting when the welcome book contains entry codes.

How do I cut off guest access after they leave?

Set the welcome book to inactive (access closes, the content stays), or use an access list to allow only guests currently staying. Note: setting a welcome book to inactive does not change your billing.
