What modules does a welcome book contain?
Welcome message, Check-in info, Check-out info, Wifi, Access codes (keypads), Practical info (organised into categories), Useful numbers and contacts, Around Me (addresses with a map), Partners, Guest book, Check-in and check-out condition reports, Boutique. Each module can be shown or hidden, and reordered however you like.
I've entered my content but guests can't see it
It is almost always the EYE icon on the category or module that is closed. In the module concerned, each category has an eye icon: open eye = visible to guests, crossed-out eye = hidden. The module itself has the same setting in "My modules". Also check that the welcome book is active.
What exactly is the Wifi module for?
To give the network name and the password, which guests can copy in one tap. It is the most viewed information in any welcome book: make it prominent and say where the router is in case of an outage.
What are the access codes (keypads) for?
To bring together all the codes for the property: gate, key box, front door, bike store. Each code has its own label and explanations. If this information is sensitive, you can restrict access to the welcome book (see the question on access lists).
What is the difference between "Check-in/check-out info" and "Condition report"?
"Check-in info" and "Check-out info" are editorial: what guests need to know (times, keys, parking, cleaning to do before leaving). The "Condition report" is a record: guests photograph and sign off the state of the property when they arrive and when they leave.
What is the Partners module for?
To highlight the professionals you recommend (restaurants, activities, tradespeople, service providers), separately from the general addresses in "Around Me".
What is the Guest book for?
To collect reviews from your guests directly in the welcome book. You choose which ones are visible, you can pin some, and you can get a badge or a widget to embed on your website.
Can I personalise the look of the welcome book?
Yes: colours, background, typography, icons, cover image and the layout of each module are all set in Personalisation. Ready-made styles are available, and each module can have its own layout.
Can I copy content from one welcome book to another?
Yes. The content clipboard lets you reuse an item of information, a category or a set of content from another welcome book. Styky, the assistant, can also copy specific content to one or more welcome books.
Can I restrict access to my welcome book?
Yes, with access lists: the welcome book is only open to authorised guests. You can also track usage in the access logs. This is the right setting when the welcome book contains entry codes.
