Meet the founders

Sophie Combettes Sirech (CEO, Spotyride)

After a science-focused baccalaureate, Sophie took a two-year higher diploma in business and public administration management (finance and accounting option). She then studied at business school, specialising in industrial management and total quality management.

She began her career as a project management consultant in a Paris consultancy firm. Sophie eventually moved to the United States to study, and stayed for four years.

Alongside Philippe, the pair travelled together for three years as part of their work in watersports, while keeping a close eye on developments in digital technology and how people use it.

That experience is exactly what inspired Spotyride!

Philippe Sirech (COO and CTO, Spotyride)

Philippe has 25 years of experience in wakeboarding. He founded and chaired the AFW (French Wakeboard Association) in 2000, then WWA France (World Wakeboard Association) in 2009, and was Wakeboard World Champion in 2012! On top of those impressive titles, he publishes Unleashed Wake Mag, the international wakeboard magazine, and runs a communications agency specialising in board sports. Philippe and Sophie found it hard to track down an operator online where they could take part in a water or watersports activity.

And that is where the flash of inspiration struck: the idea for Spotyride!
