We all remember a place from a series or a film we love! Here is our selection, just for you.
We all have memories of sumptuous villas or flats from our favourite films and series. The StyQR team has put together a little selection of its favourite homes.
The flats
The first that springs to mind is obviously Monica's flat in Friends! With its open-plan kitchen and its huge purple wall. If only we too could have such a big flat and host all our friends!
In a far more luxurious style, we fell for Lily Van der Woodsen's apartment in Gossip Girl. Opulence, works of art and the art of living are the watchwords here!
And finally, how could we forget? Carrie Bradshaw's flat and incredible walk-in wardrobe in Sex and the City ! Those were the days.
The hotels
Admit it, you thought straight away of The Shining ! The hotel has become iconic, inside as much as out. That said, we wouldn't set foot in it for anything in the world!
Now this one, we'd happily take a key for life! A hotel this pretty is impossible to resist. If you haven't seen The Grand Budapest Hotel yet, we highly recommend it.
The villas
It isn't quite Christmas yet, but we simply had to mention Home Alone! All those cult scenes and young Macaulay Culkin's performance.
Because their couple was iconic and because we've watched this film over and over again: the splendid house in Mr and Mrs Smith, which they wreck without the slightest remorse!
The ones in a class of their own
In our view, the saddest home of all! While Harry Potter's family enjoys the good life in a cosy house, he ends up in a cupboard under the stairs.
A setting that couldn't be more iconic! Bilbo Baggins's house in The Lord of the Rings. A cosy but tiny home, much like its owner. And did you know that the hobbits' village can be visited in New Zealand?
Last of all, the not exactly inviting but very futuristic home of Bruce Willis in The Fifth Element. Practical, but so impersonal! Which of all these homes is your favourite? Which one stayed with you the most? We're still torn between Gossip Girl and Home Alone!
