Arranging pet care while you are on holiday

Sometimes you simply cannot take your pet on holiday with you, and what a shame that is! So how do you set off with a clear mind?

Care at your home

If this is the first time, or if you would rather not put your pet through more stress than necessary, you can opt for care at your home.

In that case, there are plenty of pet-sitting sites out there, such as:

• Animaute(one of the best known)

On these sites you can see the pet sitters' ratings, their availability and their rates.

Here you have two options: either regular drop-in visits, or the pet sitter stays at your home with your pet for the duration of your holiday. It is entirely up to you.

Care away from home

You can also choose a boarding kennel or cattery for your pet. They will be with other animals and looked after by professionals. You can choose boarding with or without individual pens, for shorter or longer stays.

The 30 millions d'amis website lists a great many of them. Here too you have two choices: board your pet close to home, or close to your holiday destination! That way you can collect them on the way back!

It is probably the pricier of the two options, but it means you can set off knowing your pet is going to have fun! No more excuses now! You have everything you need to make sure your pet enjoys the holidays too.
