Popular with tourists, this region abounds in <strong>natural wonders<\/strong> and<strong>authenticity<\/strong>.<br \/>\nCorsica has nothing to envy from mainland France &#8211; quite the contrary! Its breathtaking landscapes, typical gastronomy and picturesque villages have made its reputation as a <strong>tourist culture<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]All of Corsica&#8217;s major cities, such as Ajaccio, Bastia, Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio, have a lot to offer: <strong>Ajaccio<\/strong>,<strong> Bastia<\/strong>, <strong>Porto-Vecchio<\/strong> and <strong>Bonifacio<\/strong> have a lot to offer. I recommend you go there as soon as you can! Among the best known is <strong>the GR20<\/strong>, which crosses Corsica from north to south. And its little brother, <strong>the Sentier<\/strong> <strong>Mare a Mare<\/strong>, which crosses Corsica from east to west. <strong>Le sentier des douaniers<\/strong>: The trail begins in Macinaggio, a hamlet totally removed from mass tourism. A 3-hour hike from Macinaggio beach to the village of Barcaggio. Perfect for immersing yourself in the local culture. <strong>Gorges de la Restonica<\/strong>: An unmissable hike, starting from the Grotelle sheepfold. Our selection includes <strong>Sart\u00e8ne<\/strong>, <strong>Carg\u00e8se<\/strong>, <strong>Ota<\/strong> and <strong>Corte.<\/strong> Nicknamed the island&#8217;s sentinel.<strong> Nonza<\/strong>, a small village hidden away on the tip of the Corsican Cape, is particularly recommended for its &#8220;La Sassa&#8221; restaurant and its black pebble beach. So I&#8217;ll leave you with my favorites. <strong>The Gulf of Porto<\/strong>, with the town of the same name and its magnificent underwater landscape. The <strong>Calanques de Piana<\/strong> and their breathtaking viewpoints are another paradise. <strong>The Scandola nature reserve<\/strong>: accessible only by boat and protected from mass tourism. <strong>The seabed<\/strong> with : The Revellata peninsula. The B-17 bomber wreck near Calvi. The Cathedrals, near Ajaccio. The cirque of Marifaja and Merouville, in the Lavezzi Islands nature reserve. <strong>The Agriates Desert<\/strong>: A wild territory with hiking trails leading straight to natural beaches. <strong>L&#8217;Ile-Rousse<\/strong>: A small island in the heart of the Gulf. It boasts an authentic center and market, topped by a visitable tower. The island&#8217;s lighthouse offers a superb viewpoint. Especially at sunset![\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading]<strong>Authentic food<\/strong>[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_gallery el_id=&#8221;gallery-110455&#8243; medias=&#8221;83355,83356&#8243; gutter_size=&#8221;3&#8243; screen_lg=&#8221;1000&#8243; screen_md=&#8221;600&#8243; screen_sm=&#8221;480&#8243; single_overlay_opacity=&#8221;50&#8243; single_padding=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Brocciu<\/strong>, a sheep&#8217;s or goat&#8217;s cheese. <strong>Figatellu<\/strong>, <strong>lonzu<\/strong>, pork-based charcuterie. <strong>Fiadone<\/strong>, <strong>a<\/strong> traditional Corsican dessert: a brocciu flan flavored with lemon zest. <strong>Pietra<\/strong>, the famous Corsican beer. <strong>Pulenta<\/strong>, Corsican chestnut flour. And last but not least, <strong>canistrelli<\/strong>, dry cookies with lemon, aniseed and hazelnuts. You&#8217;ve got to admit, just reading about it makes your mouth water!<br \/>\nAdd to that <strong>the wine route<\/strong>. In particular, the town of Saint-Florent, with its Patrimonio vineyards and the island&#8217;s oldest AOC Corsican wine.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]I hope you&#8217;ve enjoyed reading about Corsica&#8217;s natural wonders.<br \/>\nMy final <strong>piece of friendly advice<\/strong>: consider several visits to Corsica, because once you&#8217;ve started, you always want to see more.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Don&#8217;t forget to update <a href=\"https:\/\/styqr.fr\/en\/\"><strong>your booklet<\/strong><\/a> and add any points that may be missing. In particular, any unusual spots known only to the locals!
